Most of us don’t consciously realize the way that we use scents and fragrances to evoke pleasant reactions from other people. The effects of fragrances are so common to our everyday lifestyles that most people do not even begin to realize exactly how we are affected. Our goal whether we do it consciously or unconsciously is to use fragrance oils to cause people to react to us in ways that are beneficial to us.

I would say that 98% of us do not realize when we are being affected one way or another by our sense of smell. We are also unaware of the effects of fragrance on our moods. I learned a long time age to maintain a pleasant fragrance in my retail store. Customers would come in and immediately comment on the pleasant aroma in the air. This would create an atmosphere for a pleasant business transaction to take place.

Have you ever smelled a fragrance that brought back pleasant memories of a past time or event? The fragrance was the catalyst to the memory that you had. Memories can sometimes be unpleasant so we want to make sure to evoke fond memories. Do you remember the smell of gingerbread, or how about apple pie? Maybe you can remember the fragrance of that first love, or another special someone in your life. All of these things are factors that we should be mindful of when we choose a fragrance oil to wear or a scented oil to burn.

We choose scented perfume or cologne oils to create our own personal persona or signature. I am sure that each one of us has a scent that we associate with a specific person, place, or event in our past. We associate the fragrance with the person because it reminds us of his or her persona. Have you ever smelled a fragrance on someone and said that it smelled like the person? You blended them both into one entity. Many of our customers will actually mix different scented oils until they come up with a signature fragrance. Once they do they have established a fragrance which gives them a unique identity. Do you know which oil fragrances cause people to react to you in a positive way. One which works extremely well for me is coconut believe it or not. Which scented oil works for you?

Please do me a big favor and forward this message to all of your friends. If they contact me for free samples they will receive free updates and educational materials also. Thank you.

The Documented Benefits of Coconut Oil

Researchers studied populations of two Polynesian atolls in 1981. Coconut was the chief source of caloric energy in both groups. The results, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, demonstrated that both populations exhibited positive vascular health. There was no evidence that the high saturated fat intake had a harmful effect in these populations. Now you see some of the benefits of coconut oil when used as a cooking oil and as a food product, but we don't even touch the health effects of coconut oil on the skin, scalp, and hair which have also been documented. Coconut oil is just good as an all around essential oil.

The Orgins Ang Making of Fragrances

From Egyptian Orgins

The Origin and Making of Perfumed Oils (Part 1) The word that we know as perfume is derived from the Latin PARFUMES which means through smoke. This term is used because the first fragrances were realized more by burning, which produced smoke that carried the essence of the item being burned. When they thought about perfume it was a term which applied to anything that gives off a fragrance when burned, but we apply the term to anything that gives off fragrance. The ancient Egyptians are generally credited with being the first people use perfumes, and perfume oils. The fragrances that they used came only from natural substances such as flowers, wood, aromatic plants and leaves, etc. The Egyptians are also credited with being the first to use fragrances and oils for skin care. They are also credited with being the first to use aromatic spices to preserve and give the body a pleasant fragrance at death. Scented oil fragrances can be made from many substances. A finished scented oil product is a composition of a wide variety of substances, not all of which are used to produce scent. Perfume oils are a mixture of fragrant scented oils, aromatic compounds, fixatives, and solvents. Fragrance oils are used to give the human body, animals, objects, and living spaces a pleasant aroma. The reason for this is to evoke a pleasant reaction from either the person who applies the fragrance or others who will be effected by the aroma. The ancient Greeks are credited with being the first to use stills to create and use liquid perfumes (not oils). They used herbs, spices, and flowers to create these first liquid perfumes. Oils were actually used long before liquid perfumes and colognes were even thought of. The Arabs are credited with fine tuning the process of producing scented oils and excelled in using natural products to create perfume oils. In my opinion Arab perfumers still produce the best natural oil fragrances but Americans excel in producing the synthetic fragrances. Some natural ingredients used to create fragrances are: 1) Plants such as cinnamon. 2) Flowers and blossoms such as rose and jasmine. 3) The rinds of citrus fruits. 4) Leaves such as lavender and patchouli. 5) Resins such as frankincense, myrrh, and pine. 6) Roots such as ginger, and 7) seeds and woods such as sandalwood. You can use your own imagination to list just about any compound that produces fragrance. We have given you a few examples here. Some animal sources of fragrance are honeycomb, amber, which is derived from the sperm whale, and musk sacs which are used in musk fragrances. Most animal sources of fragrances have been replaced in modern times with synthetic compounds. Fragrance must be extracted from the product which contains it. The traditional techniques include the use of heat, or solvents. They both leech the fragrance out over a period of time. Extracting fragrance may take weeks or months and must be done very carefully. Extracting fragrance always destroys some of the fragrance so it is a very delicate operation. You can see that extracting and creating fragrance is a science and must be done very carefully. People will always use fragrance because it plays such an integral part of our everyday lives. The perfumer views his or her job of creating fragrance as a fine art. Finished products are hard to duplicate because there are so many ingredients and variations of technique that can be used. These are known only to the perfumer who has created the fragrance.

The Creation of Cool Water Perfume Oil

Cool Water for men and women have been popular for many years

The original cool water cologne was created by Davidorf and remains a popular fragrance to this day. The designer has gone through extraordinary steps to create a unique fragrance for the customer to enjoy. There is great complexity and balance in the various ingredients used in the creation of this cologne. We have sold our version in a body oil, and a perfume oil for many years with amazing results. Our cologne oil version of this fragrance was introduced shortly after the original Cool Water fragrance. It has been a popular scented oil ever since its introduction, so has the women's perfume oil which was introduced in 1997. When I researched the original fragrance I found that some of the ingredients are; lavender, corriander, peppermint, rosemary, orange blossom, jasmine, oakmoss, geranium, sandalwood, amber, musk, and cedar. Now imagine how hard it would be to duplicate this perfumer's work when you consider that there may be hundreds of ingredients, which are each processed in a specific way and amount. This should give you a greater appreciation of the job of the perfumer. http://www.fragranceoilexpress.com

How to use Scented Oils in Massage to Elicit an Emotional Response

There are classes of fragrance which have an effect on mood. In this article we will discuss how you may be able to mix carrier oils with scented oils to get a specific reaction from your partner. You can use fragrance oils to make a massage sensual, calming, or invigorating. Massage and fragrance are just two parts of an overall package which will include sights, and sounds.

You may use music and situational awareness along with scented oils to gain the desired effect on your subject when you are giving a massage. Colors should also play a major role. If you are giving a sensual or relaxing massage you will use soft lights and soft colors to help your partner to relax or to put him or her in a relaxed or romantic mood. Blue and green are relaxing colors while red will definitely invigorate. As a general rule bright lights and colors invigorate and soft lights and pastel colors help to set a more subdued mood.

Since the brain remembers fragrances you can train your partner to feel aroused or invigorated by the fragrance that you wear. For example, if your partner first associates a fragrance that you wear with a really good time that you had together each time he or she smells that scent on you they will subconsciously associate it with that time. This will train them to respond to that particular scent the same way as when they first smelled it. The drawback is that they will associate the fragrance the same way with whoever is wearing it.

The human brain detects fragrance with the olfactory receptors which are located in the back of the nose. These receptors are connected to the limbic system which controls emotions. When the receptors detect scent they are actually analyzing molecules of the actual substance found in the scented oil. Different substances have different effects on the human brain thus causing emotion. We suggest that you mix the scented oils with pure natural carrier oils to give a better overall effect. The carrier oils are will nourish the body and the skin while the fragrant oils will elicit a pleasant reaction. This is also the reason that you should wear a pleasant fragrance at all times. The fragrance will cause a pleasant response from people when you are around them. This will cause people to always have a good perception of you.

Now I bet that you have been waiting for me to educate you to the fragrances to use for the effect that you wish to elicit from your partner. They are: 1) Romantic Scents, Egyptian musk (this is my personal add), sandalwood (this is a good fragrance to use as a base to add others to), jasmine (very pleasant), rose, and gardenia. 2) Calming Scents, lavender, sandalwood (notice how this scent falls in two categories), bergamont, and chamomile. 3) Refreshing Scents, eucalyptus, mint, pine. 4) Energizing Scents, peppermint, all citrus scents, verbena. When you are considering the effect that you want to achieve consider two things. The first is which fragrances from each class and how much of each one. The next thing that you want to consider is how pleasant is the fragrance? You don’t want to use something in your massage oil (such as eucalyptus) which is unpleasant to the smell.

The Science of Fragrance

Perfume making is an ancient art and believe it or not the first perfumes were the smoke of burning substances. The first scented oils were made of all natural ingredients which were blended to give a certain odor or fragrance. Apple fragrance was obtained from apples, etc. There were no synthetic fragrances such as many that we have today.

Perfume making began in the Middle East with the Arabs being rightfully credited with creating, perfecting, and advancing the use of scented oil fragrances. The first recorded perfumer was a man by the name of Tapputi who was from the Middle East.

Islamic merchants were travelers who became familiar with many different ingredients in their travels. This served to expand the art of perfume making through the use of some of the ingredients from regions other than home. Sometimes they would trade in ingredients which were rare and could only be found in certain areas of their travels.

Europeans learned the art of perfume making from the Islamic culture. The first p[erfume was created by the Hungarians when they mixed oil based fragrances with alcohol. The Europeans did much to advance the art of perfume making during the middle ages. The Italians and the French were credited with most of the advancements in perfume making.

One of the reasons why perfume making caught on in Europe was because of the poor hygienic practices of the day. Perfumes were used as a mask for body odors which led to further development and refining of perfumes and colognes.

Perfume making is a true art these days and a science within itself. The professional perfumer is well paid and highly sought after for his or her work. Designer fragrances are a big money business. The thing that makes them so expensive is that the perfumer attempts to create a product which can’t be duplicated.

The perfumer will use each of four scent groups to blend fragrances to get the desired effect. The groups of scents are 1)Floral 2)Animal 3)Green, and 4)Spicy and Woody.

The perfumer knows the direction that he or she want to go with each fragrance that they create and chooses ingredients from each of these groups appropriately

In addition to groups there are seven different categories of fragrance. They are; 1Citrus, 2 Spicy 3Herbal 4Fruity 5Gourmand, this group includes fragrances such as cocoa, vanilla, and green tea. I didn’t elaborate on the others because they are pretty much self explanatory. 6 Floral, and 7Earthy fragrances such as patchouli.

As you can see the job of being a professional perfumer is a complicated one. It requires a love of what you do and a knack for fragrances

The Many Health Benefits of Coconut Oil

The purpose of this article is to enlighten you on some of the benefits of the use of coconut oil. Yes coconut oil. Coconut oil is a very nutritous product and is one of the most edible fats around. It is good for both internal and external use any can be used in many different applications. It can be used as a cooking oil,  for energy, to boost metabolism, for weight loss, to help assist thyroid function, for a healthy heart, and to boost immune function.

Externally it makes an excellent massage oil. Coconut oil is used as a base in many skin care products, lotions, and hair care products. The health and beauty industry has recognized the many benefits of this product and it has been a staple health and beauty product for decades. Coconut oil is known for its resistance to oxidation and is very beneficial as a skin care product because of the fact that it blocks the degenerating effects of free radicals which cause aging by damaging healthy cells.

Coconut oil was once used plentifully in this country until WWII caused supply to not meet demand. This resulted in the advent of other cooking and skin care products to fill the vacuum. There were two famous studies done on the residents of the tropical pacific regions which did much to document the benefits of coconut oil. In the 1930's Dr. Weston Price who was a dentist travelled tropical countries where coconuts were a dietary staple and found the coconut to have many of the beneficial effects noted above. In addition to superior skin tone and youthfullness the islanders had superior muscle tone. This would seem to be odd since coconuts contain so much fat but we will discuss that later.

The same results were cited in a 1981 study of populations where coconuts were the chief source of caloric intake. The 1981 study served to confirm the results of Dr. Prices earlier studies.

As a dietary product coconut oil can be used as a cooking oil with very good health benefits. The main benefit is that coconut oil resists the destabilizing effects of heat. It dosen't break down into harmful compounds as readily as most other cooking oils. In addition, it can be used as a dressing for many different fruits and vegetable dishes.

Farmers once attempted to use coconut oil to fatten up their livestock before taking them to market but the experiment didn't work. The livestock became leaner and more lively as a result of using coconut oil. The reason for this is the type of triglycerides in the oil. Coconut oil is made of medium chain triglycerides rather than the long chain triglycerides. The importance of this is the way that they are utilized by the body. The shorter chain fats are more readily broken down and used for energy while the longer chain fatty acids are more readily stored as body fat. More available energy means more energy used, and more energy used means more energy needed. This also translates to a faster metabolism and more muscle mass. Muscle burns more calories than fat thus less fat is stored. One chemical compound which coconuts are rich in is lauric acid. You may ask why this is important. It is important because lauric acid is vital to boosting immune function in the human body. Breast milk is also high in this chemical compound. Coconut oil can be an excellent diet aid when used judiciously.

Here I want to highlight the skin care effects of coconut oil. The major benefit of using this product as a lotion or as a massage oil is that it is beneficial to restoring elasticity to the skin. When you use it in massage the benefits are many fold. You enjoy the benefits of massage along with the health benefits. I always harp on the benefits of using oils on the skin instead of lotions. They are too many to ignore. The antioxidizing effects of coconut oil has an antiaging effect on the skin. Remember when we talked earlier about how coconut oil blocks the negative effects of free radicals. Free radicals are the chemical compounds which attack skin cells and cause ageing. Coconut oil reduces wrinkles by streghtening the connective tissues in the skin. It penetrates the layers of the skin to nourish and protect the underlying layers.

You can see by the evidence that I have cited here why coconut oil is such a superior product. You should seriously examine this article and other references for this product and determine how you can include it in your diet and skin repetoire.

How to Create Your Own Scented Oil Fragrances

You can use just about any combination of ingredients to produce your own scented oils. Of course they won't be as good as what you can purchase, but you might be the type to want to give it a try. The process that we will use is simple. Gather the ingredients that you want to use; plants, bark, lemon peelings, etc., and pack them tightly in the jar that you will use. Add an unscented oil to the mixture. I highly recommend that you use one of our unscented essential oils for this, especially if you will wear the oil. Store the mixture in a place that is warm for about 10 days. Shake it vigorously each day and check out the scent of the mixture after the allotted time has passed.

Once you are satisfied with the amount of scent that the mixture contains you can begin to use it. Do not heat the mixture because you will destroy the integrity of the fragrance. Keep a record of what you use each time so that when you come across the perfect blend you will know how to duplicate it. The heat will slowly leech fragrance from the mixture over a period of time. If you can grind your ingredients do so before you put them in the oil. This will expose more of the fragrant matter to the oil. Sometimes grinding the ingredients will destroy the integrity of the fragrance.

The Orgin of African Musk Scented Oil

The main ingredient in the original African Muck scented oil fragrance was a musk called civetone. This ingredient was obtained from the musk glands of an African cat called a Civet. Most other musks were obtained from the glands of the Musk deer but Civetone was prized for its unique fragrance and is reported to have healing qualities. This musk is produced synthetically now, but there are still some places in Africa where perfumers prefer to use the real thing.

Some of the ingredients used to produce Arfican Musk Scented oil are rose, patchouli, and sandalwood. There are many others but perfumers do not like to disclose ingredients, and methods of extracting and blending so that they can prevent their work from being duplicated. African Musk scented oil generally comes in a green color although it is sometimes clear. We offer the green African Musk because it seems to be the most popular of the two. I really believe that people prefer it because of the green color. I personally enjoy wearing this musk oil from time to time and I think that it has a wonderful aroma. This scented oil fragrance is worn by both men and women.

The Process of Extracting and Blending Fragrances

In my last article we touched just a little bit on how fragrances are extracted from the compounds that carry them. Heat and solvents are the traditional ways of extracting fragrances from these compounds but these are not the only methods of extraction.

Three other extraction techniques are: 1) Supercritical Extraction 2) Distillation, and 3) Expression.

In supercritical extraction CO2 is normally used. In this method due to the very low heat applied and the mildness of the solvent very little of the natural fragrance is destroyed. This is the preferred method of extracting fragrance.

In distillation heat is applied  to leech fragrance from the compound and evaporate excess solvent until a scented oil base is left.

In expression the raw material is squeezed or compressed until the oils of the peels is collected. This is normally done with objects such as citrus rinds.

The job of the perfumer is to blend the extracted compounds into a signature fragrance. A specific fragrance may be composed of several hundred blended compounds. This is what makes it hard to duplicate fragrance. The list and amounts of compounds in any fragrance is the secret that only the perfumer knows. This is the reason that each manufacturers version of a fragrance will be different. We can come very close to duplication sometimes, but most times it is just not possible.

Every ingredient that is put in a fragrance is not necessarily put there for smell. All ingredients used do fall under one of four classifications:

1)      Primary Scents; These are the base compounds that give the fragrance its concept or theme. Examples of primary scents would be sandalwood or cinnamon. They are what I call the root of the fragrance. This is the scent that the fragrance oil is known for.

2)      Modifiers; The purpose of adding a modifier is not to necessarily change the scent but to enhance it in some way. They will have some kind of an influence on the scent such as to give it a more fruity appeal, or to make it a sweeter fragrance.

3)      Blenders; These substances are added in order to smooth out the transitions of the fragrance from note to note or to help the different compounds in the layers of the fragrance to come together. In other words they help to mellow the fragrance out.

4)      Fixtures; The purpose of fixtures is to boost the primary scent to give it a louder aroma. This is always necessarily good because it will conflict with the natural aroma and change it. This is the major difference between perfumes and scented oils. Some retailers will use alcohol or some other compound to boost the fragrance of the oil that they sell and use this as a selling point. Loud is not necessarily good.

Now we have arrived at the completed product. We can do one of two things at this point. We can blend natural oils with this fragrance compound and create an oil based fragrance, or we can add ethyl alcohol and water to it and turn it into a perfume or cologne.

I prefer to use the scented oil because of the softer, natural, quality of the fragrance. The scented oil fragrance lingers longer because it is not carried away by the alcohol.

A Review of Phat Farm scented oil for men

Phat Farm body oil for men was made to be different. It can be best chacterized by its strong opening citrus note. The best way for me to describe it is a green, snappy' sweet citrus. This is a good body oil fragrance for my younger customers. It is rebellious and is meant to make a strong statement for the wearer. This is a fine spring and summer fragrance which lends itself to daytime wear. It goes best with hip casual clothing. I would wear it with a hip suit if that were my style of dress.

This is one of my favorite women's fragrances. It is sweet but not too much.  It reminds me of the feminine woman who can also be down to earth. The second note is light and floral which makes this a good year round scented oil fragrance. It is especially good for warm weather wear but is versatile enough to be worn year round. It can be worn with casual or formal wear but probably goes better with casual wear because it is a sexy perfume oil.

A Review of White Diamonds Perfume Oil for Women

White Diamonds perfume oil is another which has been around for a while. Most women have already used it or know exactly how it smells. If I would use one word to describe it that word would be "aristocratic." This perfume oil puts me in the mind of people who have clout and status whenever I smell its aroma. It is bold also but not sweet at all. This is another scented oil fragrance that I think is best worn at evening, formal, social events. I think that it would be good to wear during the fall, winter, and spring months of the year. It is also suitable for daytime wear.

A Review of Opium Perfume Oil

This perfume oil has a thick aromatic fragrance. It is not sweet but heady, and heavy. You must be careful not to overapply this one as a little bit goes a long way. I think that the patchouli and mryyh in the base of this scented oil fragrance gives it its character. If you are familiar with these two fragrances you can imagine the aroma. This is a good fall and winter fragrance. I think that it best lends itself to evening wear and formal or semi formal social events. I don't characterize it as a walk around fragrance. The bold, aroma of this perfume oil will last for a long time.

Some of the known ingredients contained in this scented oil fragrance are; mandarin, bergamont, lily of the valley, jasmine, carnation, myrrh, vanilla, patchouli, opoponaux, and amber.

A Review of Issey Miyake Blue Body Oil

This body oil fragrance is much more masculine than the Issey Miyake body oil which we offer. This is an excellent summer and fall fragrance. I personally would wear it to outdoor social or sightseeing events. This scented oil will get attention because it has such a bold aroma. I would prefer to wear this fragrance with casual dress, or jeans and a dress shirt. The lemon aroma in the first note gives this scented oil its unique appeal.

I know that it is one of the best selling body oil fragrances in the retail store. It is also one of my personal favorites. Hugo Dark Blue has a subtil fragrance with a nice aroma. The Indian lime has a definite influence on the fragrance and is the dominate ingredient. This scented oil fragrance is good for all around use.

A Review of Armani Black (Black Code) Body Oil.

As the name implies this scented oil fragrance is for the sophisticated, refined, gentleman. The design of the origional bottle of the cologne was inspired by the lapels of a Tuxedo. This is an excellent year round scented oil fragrance which I would wear to formal or semi formal social events. This fragrance has a subtil aroma, so don't wear it to grab special attention, except from that someone who will be closest to you.

Some of the known ingredients of this scented oil fragrance are; bergamont, lemon, olive flower, guiac wood, and tonka bean.

A Review of FUBU Body Oil for men

This scented oil fragrance is based on the origional cologne. This scented oil has an aroma which is all its own. The best description that I can give is a rich aroma which the name "Plush" describes to a tee. Our younger male customers seem to enjoy this scented oil fragrance the most. It will definitely grab attention for the user in a crowd, and should be worn with this in mind. I use this body oil occasionally with dress clothing or dressy casual clothing. This is an excellent spring and summer evening fragrance. I think that it is a good scented oil to wear to social events where the attire is sporty or dress.

Some of the known ingredients of this scented oil fragrance are; suede, amaretto, citrus, spice, orris, sandalwood, patchouli, amber, and musk.

This scented oil fragrance is suitable for all age groups and for year round wear. I would wear it in any social setting and it goes well with casual or dress clothing. I would probably use it for my casual wear more than for dress wear. This is what I call a go to fragrance because it is so versatile.

A Review of Jean Paul Gautier Le Male

This scented oil fragrance came in with a bang just like the original cologne. It is still going strong just like the original and is a favorite of customers of all age groups. There are numerous testimonies about its attractive qualities on members of the opposite sex. I can tell you based on my operation here that a lot of my female customers like this body oil fragrance so much that they will buy it and wear it themselves. I sell just about as much mens scented oil fragrance to women as I do to men. That is the honest to goodness truth.

This body oil is flexible in that I would wear it in any social setting, and with almost any kind of attire. I wouldn't wear it with totally relaxed casual clothing because that wouldn't do the fragrance justice. I would definitely wear it year round except in the coldest part of the winter. This scented oil fragrance is here to stay.

Some of the known ingredients of this fragrance are; mint, artemisia, bergamont, cardamom, lavender, orange blossom, cinnamon, cumin, sandalwood, vanilla, cedar, tonka bean, and amber.

It is not sweet and effeminate but bold and not loud. This body oil fragrance is suitable for year round wear, and will go well with casual or dress attire. I would wear this fragrance in any social setting with confidence.

Some of the known ingredients of this scented oil fragrance are; rosemary, lemongrass, ginger, anise, orange, patchouli, elemi, nasturtium, may rose, absolute ginger, absolute palmarosa, sandalwood, and musk mallow.

A Review of Iceberg Body Oil for Men

Our Iceberg body oil for men is our version of Iceberg Cologne which was introduced in 2001. This is definitely a fragrance for the outdoors type. It has a bold aroma but it is not overpowering to the senses. This scented oil fragrance seems to appeal more to young men in the 20 to 35 year age group. It will call attention to the wearer in a crowd, but is not so strong that it will drive people away.

This is a good warm weather fragrance which will go best with casual wear. I would use it in an outdoors type of setting such as a cookout, or outdoor party. I would also use it at a festival, state fair or any other similar event. This fragrance will make a definite masculine statement about its wearer.

The Blue Jeans body oil that we offer is our version of Blue Jeans Cologne by Versace. This scented oil fragrance is very popular among our male customers and is one of my personal favorites.

Blue Jeans was introduced in 1994 and the name does an excellent job of describing the fragrance. This scented oil has a definite masculine fragrance which is bold but not hard on the olfactory senses. Blue Jeans body oil is an excellent daytime fragrance and good for social events because its uniqueness will attract attention to you in a crowd. It is also an excellent spring, summer, or fall fragrance. This fragrance will go well with casual or dress clothing regerdless of your personal clothing style.

A Review of Baby Phat Goddess

This is my personal review of this scented oil fragrance. You should sample it to form your own opinion of this product. First of all, I like the fragrance and like to smell it on women. That being said let me go on to the rest of the review. I was first intrigued by the name "Baby Phat." This name invokes a positive response in me. I am sure that it has this same effect on others. That puts the wearer on a good foot and definitely has a positive effect on opinion to start. This fragrance is light and flowery and is an excellent summer fragrance. This is the one to use ladies when you want to have a subtile influence on that special person. It is a very intriguing and captivating fragrance. It does not overwhelm the senses as some do and leaves a subtil impression on the senses ofthe person that smells it on you.

The Extraction and Blending of Scented Oil Fragrances

The Extraction and Blending of Scented Oil Fragrances

This is one of the Steady Selling Fragrance Oils

Obsession was introduced in the 80's and came on like gangbusters. For a while the original cologne and perfumes were the best selling fragrances. The fragrance oils are still very popular among many of our customers here. Obsession was created by the perfumer to make a bold statement, and it does. A little of this fragrance will go a long way. This fragrance is popular among younger and older users. I think the reason for this is that many of our older users were around at the beginning and have stayed with it through the years. I would think that this fragrance would be popular more so with our younger customers because of the bold aroma. Some of the ingredients which this scented oil features are; mandarin, bergamont, green notes, jasmine, rose, orange blossom, coriander, tagette, armoise, amber, and oakmoss.

How to Simmer Potpourri Oils

Man has used heat from the beginning of time to extract fragrance so simmering scented oil is nothing new by any means. What we have done for you is to combine ingredients into exact fragrances so that you don't have to figure out how to blend ingredients to get an aroma. Some of you may want to anyway and this is fine. Here we will give you a few helpful tips to use when you experiment with simmering oils or other ingredients to freshen up your home.

Heat is the agent used to create the fragrance when you simmer oils. Keep in mind that when you simmer a product you are in fact destroying it. This is why you always want to use the lowest amount of heat possible to get the job done.

Combine the ingredients that you want to use in a small pot or simmering pan if you want to use your stove. You need to put enough water over this mixture to barely cover the top. Turn on the lowest heat possible and let it simmer. That's all to it. Use your own imagination when it comes to mixing ingredients but keep a record of what you use. If you happen to put something good together you want to remember exactly what you did.

Now when it comes to using our scented oils there is not much difference in the way that you get the fragrance out. You will still need to apply heat. I think that an oil burner is best but a simmering pot works well also. If you use an oil burner the tea light candles that come with it are excellent. They seem to put out exactly the right amount of heat to get the fragrance out without destroying the integrity of the oil very quickly. Some of my customers like to use the oil straight up. this is a matter of personal preference but I like to add just a little of water to our potpourri oil. When you use straight oil you get a much stronger fragrance but it dosen't last as long as when you use water. the water turns to steam which carries the fragrance into the air. This maintains the integrity of the oil and seems to have a more natural smell. The steam evaporates and carries the fragrance of the oil throughout your home. Your oil will last a lot longer this way because you only use a little bit of it at a time. If for some reason you need a strong fragrance (for example if you want to hide pet odor). Then you certainly can use the oil straight up. Do you have any questions that you want answered or suggestions for us? Feel free to e mail us at help@fragranceoilexpress.com. How to Enjoy Scented Oil Fragrances

There are many ways to enjoy the benefits of scented oil fragrances and there are some dont's also. This post will give you a few suggestions on the best way to use scented oils.

The first thing that you must insure is that the fragrance agrees with your body chemistry. The best way to do this is to obtain a small sample of the scented oil and use it to see if it agrees with your body chemistry. Do not mix the fragrance with any other cosmetic product. Your skin must be free of all products. You also want to make sure that you use the fragrance on a day when your body chemistry is normal. Don't try the sample on days when you may be stressed, physically ill, etc. Make sure that you try it when your body chemistry is normal.

Place a small amount of the sample on places where the veins are close to the skin (pulse points), such as on the wrists, and on the neck. A good place to apply natural fragrances is the hair. Coconut is a natural fragrance which works very well for me when I use it in this way.

The single best thing that I like about scented oils is that they are activated by body heat and contain no alcohol. This gives a more natural effect and also causes the fragrance to last a whole lot longer than its perfume or cologne counterpart. Another important point for you to remember is to test the fragrance over a period of several hours. This will give you an accurate presentation of each note of the fragrance. You should also actively solicit the opinion of others. Make sure that the person or persons that you ask will give you an honest evaluation of the fragrance. It is good to get the opinions of several people. You should also ask during different times that you are wearing the fragrance. The first note may not seem to agree but sometimes the fragrance will get better with time.

Once you have determined that the scented oil works with  your body chemistry you are free to go for it. A little of the scented oil goes a long way so the container that you purchase will last you a very long time. You can request more free samples of our scented oil fragrances after each order. This gives you plenty of time to try new fragrances before you run out of the one which you know works for you.
