I am somewhat knowledgeable in what I am about to tell you now because I have sold oil based fragrances for about twenty three years. Fragrance is definitely a weapon which needs to be included in every man's arsenal. We men have a harder time believing this and acting on it than women Keep in mind men that fragrance alone is not enough. Women love a good smelling masculine fragrance. Choose your fragrance wisely and factor in all of the other circumstances which will be working either for or against you at the same time that you plan to wear it.

 

If your fragrance makes a good impression it will definitely get your foot in the door but it is just one small piece of a total puzzle. Women will tend to look at all of the factors that they can see and take them into account. They will make a mental picture of you based on everything that they observe. The way that you dress should match your fragrance along with the colors and type of fragrance that you are wearing. Keep in mind that these are the things which are important to women. Also keep in mind the time of day and the time of year that you are using the particular fragrance that you choose.

 

 If you make a good impression on a woman with the fragrance that you wear then you must follow up immediately with good conversation and an all around good impression. If you make a bad initial impression it will be difficult to overcome. Most women will give you the benefit of the doubt over a period of time but you have to earn her respect. Women generally respond to fragrance more readily than men so men this is one aspect of your persona that you don’t want to take for granted. Invest time into the way that you smell as well as in your appearance if you want it to pay off with the opposite sex. Natural fragrances seem to work best for most men. When I say natural fragrances I am speaking of fragrances such as coconut, sandalwood, and musk type fragrances. Women also seem to like the more masculine types of fragrances. They are not particular about girly men. They will also respond to synthetic fragrances that have just a touch of floral essence but they respond better if those same fragrances contain citrus as well. You also need to experiment with the way that you apply your scented body oil.

Sometimes it is best to keep a small amount with you and reapply just a little bit from time to time. This will help you to maintain the integrity of the fragrance as it transitions from note to note.
