The young woman’s fragrance should speak of youth, vitality, versatility, change, and being carefree. Her fragrances should be light and lively. They should display her vitality and spontaneity. The maiden has a certain innocence about her which helps to give her a carefree persona. The best way to find a fragrance which reflects the personna that you want people to see is to look at the name of the fragrance. Perfumers are adept at putting a fragrance together which matches up to the name so this is a good place to start.  The fragrances that seem appeal more to young women tend to be springy and light. They are heavy on the citrus ingredients and light on the flowery scents. Sometimes they will have a hint of the oriental fragrance but it is typically used to accenuate the citrus notes. She is not necessarily wearing fragrance to attract a man or to display her personality but she wears fragrance to display her free independent spirit.

 

 Older women tend to be more settled in life and wear fragrances simply because they like them and they smell nice. The older woman typically prefers the class of fragrances which are called the oriental fragrances. I am not attempting to put anyone in a box here but it typically works out this way. Unisex fragrances are worn best when they are worn by my younger female customers. I have had some female customers who were bold enough to try and wear some of the men’s fragrances. The times that I have seen this done have worked out well for the customers because they had something unique. The designation of whether a fragrance is a male or female fragrance is really a matter of semantics. If a fragrance smells good on you and mixes with your body chemistry that I say that you should wear it by all means. If you are worried what people will say about you wearing a fragrance designed for the opposite sex then just don’t tell them that it was designated to be for the opposite sex. Women seem to have less hangups about this than men. You need to use fragrance to match your surroundings to produce the effect that you want. Use fragrance to create the person that you want the world to see.

Remember to consider all aspects of the products that you use and use them to the fullest. Make your statement. Do it with boldness and audacity. Enjoy your youth because it will be gone some day.
