  1. The purpose of this article is to inform you of some of the many benefits of the use of the Aloe Vera plant when it is used for the human body. I believe in natural and plant remedies for many reasons but the major one is this; Plants along with our bodies both come from the same place, the earth. Since plants contain the same elements as our bodies, what better place to find what our bodies are deficient in? I believe that many of the illnesses that we have are due to deficiencies in something that our bodies need. In my mind many illnesses are imbalances which can be cured by bring things back into their natural order.

To begin let me tell you a little bit about the aloe vera plant. I grow them (not as well as I should) and they need a lot of sunlight. They are native to Africa and grow best in hot arrid environments. Too much direct sunlight or water will harm them. They are a very thick and fleshly plant and remind you of cactus without the thorns. I plan on using oil to extract the ingredients from my plants and keeping the solution for both external and internal use.

Aloe Vera is known to have been used as early as 2100 BC and is used all over the world for various medicinal purposes. We will discuss some of its benefits and uses here.

I think that everyone has heard of the healing effects that Aloe Vera has on the skin. Aloe Vera has always been known for the way it soothes burns and rashes. It has antifungal and anti bacterial properties which makes it good for use against dandruff, excema, ringworm, heat rashes, sunburn, sores, cuts and abbrasions, and other skin maladies. Now it follows that if it soothes external skin damage and irritation it will help you out internally also. It is good for soothing heartburn and acid reflux disease because of the healing effects that it has on the throat and stomach linings. This makes it a good digestive aid.

Aloe Vera sap or juice is used in some cultures to strengthen the immune system and kidneys. It is good for arthritis which is probably because of the antioxident compounds that it contains. The same compounds are probably what makes it so good at soothing skin and internal irritation.

Aloe Vera is good for relieving constipation and as an internal cleanser and laxative. It is also a very good wrinkle reducer and is used in a wide variety of cosmetic products for a wide variety of reasons.

I remember when it was being marketed widely as a juice. I used to use it each day and because I knew what it was good for I always took two or three times more than recommended. Since I have some live plants now I will sometimes chop the leaves into very small pieces and drink then in a tea. If you decide to use it the way tat I do keep in mind that the actual sap has a bitter taste so you have to drink it quickly. It tastes nothing like the juice that I used to buy.

We still haven't finished discussing all of the uses of this wonderful plant. Aloe Vera aids in promoting hair growth by nourishing the scalp and killing dandruff. It is also being researched to see if it has a place in helping to fight cancer.

As you can see this is a truly remarkable product with many remarkable uses. There seems to be no end to the health benefits of using Aloe Vera Oil and supplements. Do your own research on this product and determine if it can be beneficial to you.
