  1. I am sure that you have either been affected by acne scars at one time or another in your life or you know someone else who has suffered through this dilemma. Acne scars are the remnant of acne which affects just about every man, woman, or child at some point in their life. These scars can be quite severe and even disfiguring. They can cause emotional stress in young people who are the most acne prone.

Acne happens when pores become clogged with oil and dirt. The clogged pores becomes infected which results in the formation of discharge. When this discharge is blocked it swells and forms a whitehead or blackhead.

Scarring may result when the infection begins to spread, especially when the blackhead is opened. There are different types of acne scars which are characterized according to their shapes or size. They can become severe depending on the situation.

The thing that we need to do when we are fighting acne is to attack it at it's root. Hygiene is very important but too much washing can be detrimental to the health of the skin.

The acne prone person usually has oily skin. He or she must be sure to keep the skin clean and free of excess oils. The body produces its own oil which is called sebum. The sebum protects the skin from invading germs, so it is necessary for health. The problem comes when there is too much of it and the pores become blocked so that debris or dirt can’t escape.

Ice pick scars are the result of the infection going straight down into the pores off the skin. The infection needs to be dealt with very quickly.
Rolling scars are wavelike and cover more of the area of the skin. Other acne scars are more puffed up and are called keloids. The most common cause of keloids is a shave or hair cut with a dirty razor.

I have generally used Tea Tree oil and Blackseed oil to successfully treat keloids. The most effective treatment involved washing the area thoroughly with soap and water and applying the oil immediately. The oil should be applied so that it can be allowed to sit for a while. The oil is absorbed into the skin where it can nourish and heal. The oil will contain trace elements, vitamins and minerals which are needed for skin health and cell regeneration. It also provides moisture for the skin cells.

Another benefit of using oils to fight acne and its scarring is that the oil can penetrate deep down into the skin where the real problem lies. It doesn’t just sit on the surface where it won’t do any good. Teenagers have the hardest time with acne because they are at the peak age for the production of hormones and the oily substance that the skin produces. They have to be especially careful to control the factors which cause acne. Successful control of acne begins with hygiene and diet. You must fight it both internally through the use of products to fight infection, and externally by using essential oils along with good personal hygiene.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         t
