I am a firm believer that certain fragrances can produce an aphrodisiac effect in humans. I am not quite sure of the reason why but I submit to you that there can be fragrances which will have different effects on different people because of their past experiences. If a person associates a fragrance with a past pleasurable experience the smell of that fragrance may evoke certain memories in that person whereas the aroma of the same fragrance may have a totally different effect on another person.
If a person in your life smells a pleasant fragrance on you that fragrance will evoke pleasant memories and cause them to have pleasant thoughts of you.
There is a gland which will pick up on certain chemical compounds released by other people and I have heard and read and done research and I do believe that to a certain degree chemical compounds along with fragrance will alter mood and predispose people to certain behaviors towards other people.
I know that whenever I wear natural coconut fragrance I get an overwhelming response from members of the opposite sex. I also get an overwhelming response when I wear Lagerfeld scented oil. There are some scents which are said to be natural aphrodisiacs which are good if they seem to work for you. Even if the perception is more of a mental thing than an actual truth they may be worthy of your use.
Vanilla is probably the most widely used fragrance as an air freshener or essential oil. It has long been used as an aphrodisiac and I had heard stories years ago of men using vanilla extract as a fragrance to get their wives in the mood so to speak. Some big business will pipe this fragrance into the atmosphere of their stores in order to get customers to relax and spend money.
Jasmine is another fragrance which is reputed to be an aphrodisiac. Jasmine is very pleasurable to me personally and I enjoy using it as an air freshener. Jasmine mixes well with other fragrances but I personally like it just the way that it is. I remember years ago before I had any knowledge of scented oils that there was a song made by two popular singing groups which referred to the pleasant sensations which jasmine evokes.
Ginger can help boost the libido from the report that I read but I can’t personally attest to whether it has these qualities or not. I know that I have drank the tea produced from the ginger root to help me with certain ailments but I noticed no discernable effect as far as the aphrodisiac thing goes, which leads me to believe that a major part of the effect may be a mental thing.
More of these fragrances are; rose, cinnamon, lavender, lime, basil, almond, clary sage, ylang ylang, peppermint, bergamont, and neroli.
Try these fragrances or essential oils at your own leisure to see if they work for you.
